Cape May’s Culinary Gems:

Our trips to Cape May wouldn’t be complete without indulging in delicious Italian cuisine at Sapore Italiano (located at 416 South Broad Way, West Cape May). This restaurant offers a taste of old-world Italy, with recipes that bring back warm memories of my mother’s cooking. The atmosphere is enhanced by wonderful Italian music, making it a truly nostalgic experience.

Another favorite spot is Freda’s Cafe (located at 210 Ocean Street, Cape May). This charming cafe embraces a farm-to-table philosophy, ensuring the freshest ingredients in their unique and flavorful dishes. Despite its small size, the cafe boasts a quaint ambiance with beautiful artwork adorning the walls. The waitresses are incredibly helpful and provide excellent recommendations to guide you through the menu.

Coffee Shop:

  • Golden Stop: A quaint coffee shop and eatery located 120 Park Blvd, Cape May NJ 08204. It’s owned by a husband-and-wife team.
    • Featured items: Juice bar & expresso coffee.

Their food is all prepared fresh daily. PS try their Grill cheese – out of the world!!

Activities:

  • Long walks on the beach: Perfect choice! Cape May has beautiful beaches great for walks, especially during sunset.
  • Sunset Beach in Lower Township:This is a great spot for watching boats and enjoying the scenery.
  • Washington Street Mall: This pedestrian mall is lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes. It’s a great place to browse and find unique souvenirs. There are also many antique shops located throughout Cape May.
    • Sweet treats galore: Washington Street isn’t just for shopping, it’s a haven for sweet tooths! Among the many candy stores, a must-visit is the fudge shop. They offer a variety of fudge flavors that you can sample before you buy, ensuring you find the perfect treat.
